June 4, 2025: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are proud parents to two growing royals — Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet — and while they’ve long kept their children’s lives private, fans got a rare glimpse of the Sussex siblings recently on Meghan’s Instagram.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex became parents in 2019 with the birth of their son Archie in London, a year after their royal wedding. Their daughter Lilibet was born in 2021 after the couple stepped back from royal duties and moved to Santa Barbara, California. Though initially not given royal titles, the children became Prince Archie and Lilibet of Sussex and Princess Lilibet of Sussex after their grandfather, King Charles, ascended the throne in 2022.

For years, Harry and Meghan shielded Archie and Lili from the public eye, only occasionally sharing blurred or partial glimpses. But in 2025, Meghan shared touching videos of both children — Archie walking their late beagle Guy, and Lili baking Valentine’s bagels — marking their quiet debut on her lifestyle brand, As Ever.
Prince Archie of Sussex, 6
Born on May 6, 2019, in London, Archie was described by Meghan as having “the sweetest temperament.” Originally, Meghan and Harry considered naming him Harrison, a nod to “son of Harry,” which later became his middle name.
At just four months old, Archie accompanied his parents to South Africa, where he famously met Archbishop Desmond Tutu. During that trip, Meghan later revealed, a fire broke out in the nursery while Archie was supposed to be sleeping — a moment that left the couple shaken but obligated to continue official duties.
Since moving to the U.S., Harry has often shared emotional reflections about parenthood, including the importance of protecting his children from the harsh glare of fame. Archie reportedly has a picture of Princess Diana in his room and recognized her as “Grandma” in one of his earliest words.
Now 6, Archie is naturally curious. Harry shared that his son often asks questions about war veterans and the world around him, which makes him proud. Meghan has described him as a caring big brother to Lili, though there was a brief adjustment period when she arrived.
Princess Lilibet of Sussex, 4
Lilibet “Lili” Diana, born June 4, 2021, in California, carries a name rich with meaning: Lilibet was Queen Elizabeth’s childhood nickname, and Diana is in honor of Harry’s late mother.
After her birth, Meghan released her first children’s book, The Bench, dedicated to Harry and Archie, and featuring a final illustration of Meghan with baby Lili in a sling. The family also released their 2021 Christmas card featuring baby Lili’s red hair — inherited from her father.
Lili’s first birthday was celebrated in England with a picnic at Frogmore Cottage, and she was christened in California by the Archbishop of Los Angeles in March 2023, with actor Tyler Perry serving as her godfather.
She has also appeared in her parents’ Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan, sitting on Harry’s lap while he reads to her, surrounded by dogs. The couple emphasized their wish to raise Archie and Lilibet away from the mistakes of their own childhoods.
Now 4, Lili is beginning to enjoy more public milestones — including making bagels with her mom in an Instagram Story seen by millions. And though the family keeps their lives mostly out of the spotlight, their subtle reintroduction of their kids shows a balance between privacy and pride.
“We’re just happy to be a part of change for good,” Meghan said about protecting children online, through their Archewell Foundation. “All you want to do as parents is protect them.”
