The Singer Puts an End to Wild Speculation on the ‘New Heights’ Podcast, While Praising Her Boyfriend’s Film Debut.

The internet, as it often does, went wild with a rumour so bizarre it could only be about Taylor Swift: that she secretly made a cameo as a bear in the new movie Happy Gilmore 2. In a moment that brought both laughter and clarity, the pop superstar finally addressed the wild speculation, shutting it down on her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce’s podcast, New Heights.

When directly asked by Jason to “confirm or deny” the speculation, Swift’s answer was swift and to the point: “I can deny!” She revealed that she and Travis had been jokingly sending each other the ridiculous rumors. “At this point, we’re just like, of course, they think I’m inside of a bear costume,” she quipped, showcasing a sense of humour about the absurdity of online gossip.

Despite the rumour being completely unfounded, Swift was nothing but gracious. “I’m honoured to be thought of in that context because I loved that movie so much. I watched it multiple times,” she shared, a nod to the original 1996 comedy that has become a cult classic.

The conversation wasn’t just about debunking myths; it was also a moment for Swift to shine a light on her boyfriend’s own acting debut. Back in July, she publicly praised Travis Kelce’s role as a waiter in the 2025 sports comedy sequel. Taking to her Instagram Story, Swift’s endorsement was loud and clear, sharing the film’s poster with her 280 million followers and giving it a glowing “13/10” rating.

Happy Gilmore 2, which is a sequel to the beloved Adam Sandler film, sees Sandler, Julie Bowen, and Christopher McDonald reprising their iconic roles, with new additions to the cast including Benny Safdie and Bad Bunny. The film was written by Tim Herlihy and Adam Sandler and directed by Kyle Newacheck.

In another bit of news from the podcast appearance, Swift also used the platform to reveal the title of her upcoming 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, teasing fans with a short clip. So while she may not be a bear, she’s definitely still a master of a surprise reveal.
