‘From Size-Zero To Pregnancy Ramp Walks’, Kareena Kapoor Reflects On Her Fashion Journey At Lakmé Fashion Week

March 31, 2025: Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan made a dazzling appearance at the gala celebrating the 25th anniversary of Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI. The event was a celebration of both fashion and the rich legacy of Lakmé Fashion Week, with Kareena serving as one of the key highlights of the evening.

Reflecting on her personal fashion journey, Kareena took a moment to recall her various experiences of walking the ramp at different stages of her life. From her iconic size-zero days to walking the runway while pregnant with her son Taimur, Kareena’s evolution in the fashion world has been both dynamic and inspiring. She shared with the audience, “I do everything with my heart. So, whether it was walking the ramp when I was size-zero or walking the ramp with Taimur in my belly, or whether it was, you know, size 10 or 12, that never really mattered. What mattered was my heart… my heart was on stage… was with each and every designer that I walked for, it was also in my confidence.”

As the face of Lakmé for many years, Kareena has been a constant presence at the brand’s fashion events. She announced her renewed association with Lakmé during the event, saying, “We are also going to embark on a new chapter because I am back again with the Lakmé family and hopefully will be on the ramp with all my favourite designers.”

Kareena also took a moment to express gratitude for the designers and the entire team that made the event special. “I am nervous because it’s not just me. There are so many icons in this room… of course, all the eminent designers and the real icons are fashion stylists, makeup artists, hair stylists, choreographers, and those smashing hot 60 models who are backstage,” she said.

On the night, Kareena looked ethereal in a traditional outfit, complete with open hair and a stunning necklace, radiating grace and elegance. The actress later took to her Instagram handle to post beautiful pictures from the gala night, writing, “Tonight was special… celebrating 25 years of Lakmé Fashion Week and being back home… as the Lakmé Girl!
