Gabriel Luna Joins ‘The Terminal List’ Season 2 Cast As Freddy Strain

March 12, 2025: Gabriel Luna, known for his role in Matador and Terminator: Dark Fate, has joined the cast of The Terminal List Season 2 in a recurring guest star role. The series, which stars Chris Pratt as Navy SEAL James Reece, is based on the James Reece book series by Jack Carr.

Luna will portray Freddy Strain, a character who is described as a former SEAL Team 6 Senior Chief and current CIA Ground Branch officer. Strain is a man of two worlds—an elite sniper with a strong commitment to family. He believes James Reece survived the events of the first season and will bring Reece back from hiding to help him find redemption. Strain’s belief in loyalty to family, country, and cause will guide Reece through the trials ahead.

The second season of The Terminal List is based on Carr’s novel True Believer, the second book in the James Reece series, and will continue to follow Reece’s journey. Chris Pratt is set to reprise his role as James Reece.

Luna is currently working on the Peacock series Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy, and he is also set to appear in the second season of The Last of Us on HBO. Recently, he premiered his film The Astronaut at SXSW. Luna is best known for his role as Robbie Reyes (Ghost Rider) in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Production for The Terminal List Season 2 is set to begin in the coming weeks, and a prequel series, The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, starring Taylor Kitsch, has already been filmed but does not yet have a premiere date.
