‘Gadar 2’ Director Anil Sharma Announces His Next Film ‘Vanvaas’

October 12, 2024: Filmmaker Anil Sharma, renowned for his blockbuster films Gadar and Gadar 2, has officially announced his new project titled Apne Hi Apno Ko Dete Hai: Vanvaas. The announcement coincided with the festival of Dussehra and was made under the Zee Studios banner.

The first glimpse of Vanvaas was shared via a teaser on social media, which highlighted the film’s thematic focus on family values and relationships. The caption read, “Kahani zindagi ki….. Kahani jazbaat ki. Kahani apno ke vishwaas ki!” signaling that it is a family-oriented film.

In his remarks, Anil Sharma described Vanvaas as a modern reinterpretation of the Ramayana, focusing on a narrative where children compel their parents to go into exile. He labeled it “Kalyug Ka Ramayana,” emphasizing its contemporary relevance.

Umesh Kr Bansal from Zee Studios expressed enthusiasm for the project, highlighting its fresh take on family dynamics and its potential to offer a unique viewing experience.

While the cast for the film has not yet been disclosed, expectations are high given Sharma’s previous successes.
