Game Changer Struggles to Maintain Momentum: Ram Charan Starrer Inches Closer to ₹100 Crore

“Game Changer sees a steep drop in collections on its first Monday, earning ₹8.5 crore. Total box office collections reach ₹97 crore as mixed audience reception impacts its trajectory.”

January 14, 2025: The much-anticipated Ram Charan and Kiara Advani starrer Game Changer has witnessed a sharp decline in box office collections, earning only ₹8.5 crore on its first Monday. This marks a significant drop from its ₹51 crore opening day collection, raising concerns about its sustainability at the box office.

Over the weekend, the movie collected ₹21.6 crore on Saturday and ₹15.9 crore on Sunday, resulting in a total domestic collection of ₹97 crore so far. The film is now just shy of crossing the ₹100 crore mark.

While the Telugu version continues to drive most of the revenue, the Hindi version has displayed consistency, maintaining a steady pace with ₹7–8 crore daily collections. The Hindi version’s total earnings now stand at an estimated ₹22.9 crore. However, the Tamil and Kannada versions have underperformed, indicating limited appeal beyond Telugu-speaking regions.

Despite its strong opening, Game Changer has struggled to sustain momentum due to mixed word-of-mouth and average audience reception. The regional performance also highlights challenges in establishing the movie as a pan-India success. Industry insiders believe that achieving the ₹200 crore milestone domestically will be an uphill battle.

The film’s producers have faced criticism for allegedly inflating its global opening day collection figures. While official reports claimed ₹186 crore in worldwide earnings on Day 1, trade analysts reported significantly lower numbers, sparking controversy and skepticism among audiences.

With a star-studded cast and high production values, Game Changer entered the market with sky-high expectations. However, its declining trend over the weekend and beyond has raised questions about its long-term box office prospects.
