Gaurav Khanna Clarifies Bigg Boss 19 Prize Money Row, Says He Has Received ₹50 Lakh
Actor Gaurav Khanna, who won Bigg Boss 19, has clarified that he has already received the full prize money of ₹50 lakh after a recent vlog sparked speculation online.
The controversy began when a video clip of the actor went viral on social media in which he mentioned that he had not yet received the prize amount from the reality show hosted by Salman Khan. The statement led to discussions among fans, especially since the grand finale of the show took place in December 2025.
However, Khanna has now addressed the rumours and explained that the clip circulating online was from an older vlog. In an interview with Zoom, the actor said the video had been recorded around 40 days ago while he was travelling to his hometown during the winter season, but it was uploaded much later, leading people to believe it was a recent statement.
“Actually, this is being blown out of proportion. It’s from a vlog which was recorded nearly 40 days back,” Khanna said.
He further clarified that the matter has already been resolved and that he has received the entire prize money. The actor also urged people not to create unnecessary controversy around the issue.
“I have, in the meantime, received my full prize money. Also, in television, the timelines for payments sometimes take time, which I had mentioned in the vlog without blaming anyone. So kindly avoid hyping this up,” he added.
Gaurav Khanna, who gained widespread recognition through the hit television show Anupamaa, further strengthened his popularity after winning Bigg Boss 19.
In the grand finale of the reality show, he lifted the trophy and walked away with the ₹50 lakh cash prize, defeating fellow finalists Farrhana Bhatt, Pranit More, Tanya Mittal, and Amaal Mallik.
