George Clooney and Brad Pitt’s Wolfs Sequel Confirmed by Apple

Apple has officially greenlit a sequel to the much-anticipated film Wolfs, starring Hollywood icons George Clooney and Brad Pitt. The announcement comes ahead of the original film’s premiere at the prestigious Venice Film Festival, signaling Apple’s confidence in the project’s success.

Jon Watts, the mastermind behind Sony’s record-breaking Spider-Man trilogy, has been tapped to both write and direct the sequel. Known for his deft handling of blockbuster material, Watts’ involvement ensures that the Wolfs sequel will continue to build on the foundation of the original film.

The premise of Wolfs revolves around Clooney and Pitt’s characters—two fixers who unexpectedly find themselves working on the same assignment. This intriguing setup has already generated considerable buzz within the industry, with fans eagerly awaiting its release.

While the sequel has been confirmed, details about Clooney and Pitt reprising their roles remain under wraps, leaving audiences in suspense. However, the anticipation surrounding the project suggests that their return is highly likely.

In addition to the sequel news, Apple has revealed that Wolfs will be available for streaming on Apple TV+ starting September 27. This streaming release follows a limited theatrical debut on September 20, which will be distributed by Sony Pictures. Originally slated for a broader release, the film’s distribution strategy has shifted towards a more exclusive rollout, heightening the allure of the project.

Wolfs is produced by Clooney’s Smokehouse Pictures and Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment, further cementing the involvement of these Hollywood heavyweights. The film boasts a stellar ensemble cast, including Amy Ryan, Austin Abrams, Poorna Jagannathan, Richard Kind, and Zlatko Buric. The production team also features Watts, Clooney, Grant Heslov, Pitt, Dede Gardner, and Jeremy Kleiner, with Michael Beugg serving as an executive producer.

Beyond Wolfs, Brad Pitt’s collaboration with Apple continues with another high-profile project, F1, directed by Joseph Kosinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. Apple’s growing slate of original content also includes Matt Damon’s The Instigators, directed by Doug Liman, and Steve McQueen’s WWII drama Blitz.

Jon Watts, who has gained immense acclaim for his work on the latest Spider-Man films, including Spider-Man: No Way Home, is further expanding his impressive filmography with this venture into Apple’s cinematic offerings.

As Wolfs prepares for its debut, the confirmation of a sequel adds an extra layer of excitement for fans. With Clooney and Pitt potentially returning, along with Watts’ visionary direction, the Wolfs franchise is poised to become a significant part of Apple’s expanding library of high-quality, star-driven films.
