More than 20 years after Ocean’s Eleven first wowed audiences with its slick heists and star-studded ensemble, George Clooney has announced plans to bring back the original cast—including Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts, and Don Cheadle—for a new sequel. The upcoming film will explore how the legendary crew handles high-stakes crime later in life, blending humour, clever plotting, and the challenges of ageing.

In an interview with Variety, Clooney explained that the new project will not be just a nostalgia trip. “There was something about the idea that we’re too old to do what we used to do, but we’re still smart enough to know how to get away with something,” he said. The story will show the characters adapting to their limitations while executing sophisticated heists, drawing inspiration from the 1970s comedy Going in Style, which features elderly criminals planning one last job.

Locations are currently being scouted, and production is expected to begin in October 2026. Clooney emphasized that the sequel will showcase the original crew as older and wiser, giving fans a fresh perspective on their favourite characters.

In addition to the Ocean’s Eleven reunion, Clooney will appear in the low-budget drama In Love, starring opposite Annette Bening as a man living with Alzheimer’s disease
