Get Ready For ‘Jaat 2’ As Sunny Deol Announces Sequel With A New Mission

April 17, 2025: After the tremendous success of Jaat, an action-packed film starring Sunny Deol, Randeep Hooda, Viineet Kumar Siingh, Saiyami Kher, and Regena Cassandra, the makers have officially confirmed the much-awaited sequel, Jaat 2. The film will once again feature Sunny Deol in the titular role, with Gopichand Malineni returning as the director, continuing his collaboration from the first installment.

Sunny Deol, a week after Jaat‘s theatrical release, took to his Instagram to share the exciting news. In his post, he confirmed his return for Jaat 2, captioning it with: “#Jaat on to a New Mission! #Jaat2,” alongside the poster that highlights the names of producers Naveen Yerneni, Ravi Shankar Y, and TG Vishwa Prasad. The production company Mythri Movie Makers will continue to back the sequel, though no other cast members have been revealed as of now.

Jaat, which marked Sunny Deol’s first pan-India action film, was a massive success, earning praise for its intense action sequences and strong performances, especially from Deol and Randeep Hooda, who played the antagonist. The film also featured a stellar supporting cast including Regina Cassandra, Saiyami Kher, Vineet Kumar Singh, and Jagapathi Babu. Despite receiving mixed-to-positive reviews from critics, the film was widely appreciated by audiences for its high-octane action and gripping storyline.

The journey of Jaat began during the filming of Gadar 2, where the team, including Deol, felt excited about starting a new venture. Director Gopichand Malineni’s vision for the film was first shared in Goa, where he pitched the story to Deol. “He narrated to me the story of Sorry Bol,” Sunny Deol recalled in a previous interview, humorously describing how Malineni’s charm and the concept of the film pulled him into the project.

With Jaat 2 now in the works, fans are eagerly awaiting what new adventures and high-intensity action sequences the sequel will bring. While the cast remains largely under wraps, Sunny Deol’s return is sure to add excitement for the upcoming action-drama.
