‘Ghaav Bhar Gaya Hai’: Paresh Rawal Gears Up To Shoot Hera Pheri 3 Next Year

In an exclusive interview, actor Paresh Rawal confirmed that the much-awaited film will begin filming in February 2026. He also revealed that all past conflicts with the production have been resolved, paving the way for the iconic trio’s reunion.

September 15, 2025: Veteran actor Paresh Rawal has given a big update on the much-anticipated movie Hera Pheri 3. He, Akshay Kumar, and Suniel Shetty will start filming in February or March of next year. The actor also talked about his prior problems with the production and his connection with director Priyadarshan in an exclusive interview.

The announcement comes after a time of uncertainty, during which Paresh Rawal momentarily left the film, which is said to have led to a legal fight with co-star Akshay Kumar. Rawal said that he left for “real reasons” and that he had repaid the signing payment with interest. He also said that the incident has not hurt his friendship with director Priyadarshan.

“Things have changed a lot, but that hasn’t affected my friendship with Priyadarshan. This kind of relationship doesn’t go bad. Rawal said, “What has really happened is that it has made our equation even stronger.” The actor and director have worked together on more than ten movies, and the next one will be their fifteenth.

Rawal also talked about where he thinks the franchise should go next. He said he was disappointed with the 2006 sequel, Phir Hera Pheri. He claimed, “They got too sure of themselves when they were making Phir Hera Pheri,” and he added that the people who made it “robbed [the franchise] of its sanctity.” He said that Suniel Shetty was the only one who “held on to his character honestly.”

The actor also said no to the notion of a movie based on his character, Baburao Ganpatrao Apte. Rawal thinks that the character can’t exist without the other two key characters, Raju (Akshay Kumar) and Shyam (Suniel Shetty). “I don’t think that duniya runs because of me,” he said respectfully.

The movie is set to be one of the most anticipated releases of the next few years now that all three of the original stars are on board and the filming schedule has been set.
