In a heartfelt Instagram post, Gigi shared a series of photos showing Khai enjoying simple childhood moments—riding a bike and tracing letters—without revealing her face. Despite the limited visibility of Khai, the images conveyed the love and warmth of the moments. One particular comment caught Hadid’s attention: “Even without showing her face, we can feel how loved and special Khai is.” Gigi responded warmly, saying, “This means a lot :)”—expressing her appreciation for the respect and understanding from her followers.
This decision to maintain Khai’s privacy isn’t new. In 2021, Gigi first addressed this in an Instagram Story, explaining the couple’s conscious choice not to share their daughter’s face on social media. “Our wish is that she can choose how to share herself with the world when she comes of age…without worrying about a public image that she has not chosen,” she wrote.
Additionally, Gigi urged photographers and the media to respect this boundary, even asking them to blur Khai’s face when captured in public spaces. She explained the desire for privacy came from her role as a new mom, wanting what was best for her daughter.
Despite maintaining this boundary, Gigi occasionally shares small snippets of her life as a mother. Earlier this month, on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, she fondly shared an anecdote about a recent visit to Medieval Times, where Khai thoroughly enjoyed a hearty chicken meal. Gigi, laughing, noted, “She ate so much chicken!”
