Globetrotter Event: SS Rajamouli Urges Public To 'Follow Instructions'
Following the devastating Karur stampede and other fan incidents, SS Rajamouli issued a direct plea to the estimated 1 lakh fans attending the Globetrotter reveal at Ramoji Film City, urging them to follow strict entry protocols for a “hassle-free, safe, and happy” experience.
November 13, 2025: Director SS Rajamouli has prioritized crowd safety ahead of the massive Globetrotter launch event, taking to social media to personally address fans of Mahesh Babu and the film’s star cast.
The grand title and first-glimpse reveal event for Rajamouli’s highly anticipated epic, tentatively titled Globetrotter and featuring Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, and Prithviraj Sukumaran, is scheduled for November 15 at Ramoji Film City (RFC). The event is expected to draw over 1 lakh fans, making it one of the largest film launches in Indian cinema history.
The filmmaker’s safety warning comes amidst heightened concerns following recent tragic incidents at public gatherings, including the horrific Karur stampede at actor Vijay’s rally, which resulted in 41 deaths, and a separate incident at the Sandhya theatre involving Allu Arjun fans.
Rajamouli shared a video message on X (formerly Twitter) confirming his excitement while laying out strict instructions for attendees:
“Very excited to see you all at the #Globetrotter event on November 15. The RFC main gate will be closed on the event day. Follow the instructions on your entry pass. Cooperate with police and security to ensure a hassle-free, safe, and happy experience for everyone.”
The massive logistical challenge includes managing crowd and traffic control around the Ramoji Film City campus, with authorities advising fans to adhere strictly to all safety rules and avoid bringing young children or elderly individuals.
The Globetrotter event, which marks Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu’s first collaboration, is shaping up to be an unprecedented spectacle. Organizers are constructing a massive stage setup featuring a 130-foot-wide and 100-foot-high LED screen to showcase the film’s visuals.
The build-up to the event has been immense, with the makers recently unveiling the dramatic first look of Prithviraj Sukumaran as the villain ‘Kumbha’ and a stunning poster of Priyanka Chopra as her character, Mandakini. Chopra also joined the promotion with a personal video invitation, teasing the film’s status as “the world’s worst-kept secret.”
The event will be live-streamed exclusively on JioHotstar, ensuring that fans across the globe can witness the grand unveiling of the title and teaser, which sources suggest will introduce the film’s core concept and characters.
