May 25, 2025: Sophie Turner has surprised fans with a public gesture of support for her ex-husband, Joe Jonas, just months after finalizing their divorce. The Game of Thrones star took to her Instagram Story on Saturday to promote Jonas’ newly released solo album, Music for People Who Believe in Love, which dropped on May 23.

Sharing the album cover with a direct Spotify streaming link, Turner captioned the post, “Go go @joejonas”—a subtle yet powerful message of encouragement.

The album marks Joe Jonas’ return to solo music after more than 15 years, with many of the songs drawing inspiration from his personal life, including his relationship with Turner and their subsequent split. One of the standout tracks, Hey Beautiful, features heartfelt lyrics dedicated to his daughters Willa (4) and Delphine (2), including the touching line:
“Just in case a day comes, I’m not next to you / I went and cut a deal with all the stars / And, when you wish upon them, you can call it proof / I’ll be with you wherever you are.”

Joe Jonas, who last released a solo album Fastlife in 2011, explained in a recent interview with PEOPLE that the new project came about unexpectedly. He felt drawn to one specific song and asked his Jonas Brothers bandmates for permission to pursue a solo route, saying the track felt “very personal.”
Working with collaborators like Justin Trainor, Alexander 23, and Lush, Jonas completed the album in just two weeks. Though eager to release it earlier, he now feels the wait was worth it. “I think last year at some point, I called my manager. I was like, ‘Can I just leak the album or put it out?’ I was tired of waiting,” Jonas said. “But I’m glad I waited. Songs like Heart by Heart wouldn’t have been part of it otherwise.”
In a Billboard interview last year, Jonas described the deeply emotional process behind the album, shaped by personal changes and pressures of fame. “At such a crazy time in my life, I looked to music as an outlet,” he said, clarifying that the songs were not intended to attack anyone but were part of his healing journey.
Joe has also opened up about reentering the dating world, revealing in a TalkShopLive conversation that it’s been “scary and intimidating.” A playful remark from a date—“It’s only love”—eventually inspired a song title on the album.
Sophie Turner, who previously described the divorce period as “the worst few days of my life,” has largely stayed private about the details. She was briefly linked to British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson post-split, but the relationship appears to have ended.
Turner’s public support of Jonas’ music suggests that, despite personal challenges, the former couple may be navigating their post-divorce relationship with mutual respect and grace.
