On Sunday, cast members shared heartfelt messages and photos, reflecting on their time with Boyce and the light he brought into their lives. “Our Angel. Forever,” wrote Sofia Carson, alongside a behind-the-scenes picture with the Descendants cast. Booboo Stewart reposted the same image in his Instagram Story.

Boyce’s legacy extends far beyond his work in Descendants, Jessie, Grown Ups, and Mrs. Fletcher. After his passing, his family founded the Cameron Boyce Foundation — an organization dedicated to curing epilepsy through research, awareness, and education.

“It is with a profoundly heavy heart that we report that this morning we lost Cameron,” the family said in a statement in 2019. “He passed away in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated.”

Though the world lost a bright light far too soon, Cameron Boyce’s spirit continues to shine through the causes he championed and the love of those he inspired.
