Good Bad Ugly Box Office Collection Day 6: Ajith Kumar’s Film Sees Dip
Chennai, April 16, 2025 – After a roaring start and strong hold over the weekend, Ajith Kumar’s action-drama Good Bad Ugly has seen a noticeable slowdown on Day 6, reportedly due to the ongoing controversy involving music legend Ilaiyaraaja.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film earned an estimated ₹6.50 crore net on Tuesday, taking the India net total to ₹107.80 crore. The movie had earlier crossed ₹100 crore on Monday with a strong ₹15 crore collection.
Despite Tuesday’s drop, the film continues to dominate globally:
Music maestro Ilaiyaraaja issued a ₹5 crore legal notice to the producers, accusing them of using his compositions without authorization. In response, producer Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers stated:
“We took permissions from all required music labels. NOCs were obtained. We’ve done things by the book.”
The controversy has gained traction and is believed to have affected the film’s mid-week performance.
Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, Good Bad Ugly stars Ajith Kumar as Red Dragon aka AK, a gangster who seeks redemption for his violent past to reunite with his wife Ramya (Trisha Krishnan) and their son. However, danger forces him to revisit his darker instincts.
