Good Bad Ugly Box Office Collection Day 7: Ajith Kumar’s Action Drama Crosses ₹112 Crore in India, Eyes ₹200 Crore Worldwide
📅 Date: April 17, 2025 | Ajith Kumar’s latest outing Good Bad Ugly, directed by Adhik Ravichandran and co-starring Trisha Krishnan, has crossed a major milestone at the Indian box office. The film collected an estimated ₹4.32 crore on Day 7 (Wednesday), taking its total to ₹112.62 crore net in India, according to Sacnilk.
The film had a strong start and, despite seeing a dip from ₹15 crore on Monday to ₹7 crore on Tuesday, it remained steady through Wednesday with a nationwide occupancy of 21.92%.
(Note: Days 1–4 estimated; verified total based on reported Day 7 figures.)
The film is also closing in on the ₹200 crore global mark, making it the highest-grossing Tamil film of the year so far, ahead of Dragon and Vidaamuyarchi.
The success hasn’t come without drama. Legendary composer Ilaiyaraaja has issued a legal notice to Mythri Movie Makers, accusing them of using three of his songs without consent. He is reportedly seeking a written apology and ₹5 crore in compensation.
Producer Y. Ravi Shankar responded saying,
“We have followed protocol and taken necessary permissions and NOCs from the music labels that legally hold the rights. We’ve done things by the book.“
The film has garnered mixed reviews from critics but is being appreciated by fans for its mass appeal and action-packed sequences.
