After dominating the box office, Ajith Kumar’s highest-grossing film Good Bad Ugly is set for its Netflix debut, with fans across India — especially in Hindi belts — eagerly awaiting its multi-language release.

May 3, 2025: Ajith Kumar’s action-packed blockbuster Good Bad Ugly, which grossed ₹245 crore globally, is now gearing up for its digital premiere. The Tamil superstar’s biggest hit to date will release on Netflix on May 8, as per media reports. While Netflix announced earlier that it had bagged the digital rights, the official date was pending until recently.

Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, the high-octane crime drama features Ajith as a retired gangster who is forced to return to his violent roots after his son is kidnapped. Released theatrically on April 10, the film opened to strong critical and public reception, and has since become the only Kollywood movie in 2025 to surpass ₹150 crore in India.

Multilingual OTT Release

Good Bad Ugly will be available on Netflix in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi, increasing its reach across diverse Indian audiences. The film’s OTT release is particularly anticipated in the Hindi-speaking regions, where Ajith commands a cult following.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Good Bad Ugly has earned ₹153.05 crore net in India and ₹245 crore worldwide, making it Ajith’s highest-grossing film ever, surpassing his 2023 film Thunivu (₹200 crore worldwide).

The film also holds a 7.1/10 IMDb rating, further cementing its success.

Star-Studded Cast

Apart from Ajith Kumar and Trisha Krishnan, the film features Jackie Shroff, Arjun Das, Prabhu, Prasanna, Yogi Babu, and Sunil in pivotal roles.
