'Gori Hain Kalaiyan' Recreated for ‘Mere Husband Ki Biwi’
Mumbai, February 6: The iconic song “Gori Hain Kalaiyan”, originally featuring Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Prada, has been recreated for the upcoming Bollywood film ‘Mere Husband Ki Biwi’, starring Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, and Rakul Preet Singh.
The revamped track has been given a modern twist by rapper Badshah, along with Kanika Kapoor, Sharvi Yadav, and IP Singh.
Apart from the lead trio, the film also features Dino Morea, Harsh Gujral, and Shakti Kapoor in pivotal roles. Directed by Mudassar Aziz, known for ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’ and ‘Khel Khel Mein’, the film promises to be a lighthearted entertainer.
Mudassar Aziz shared his excitement about the project, stating that the film celebrates the quirks and complexities of romantic relationships.
“As a filmmaker, I’ve always believed in telling stories that entertain and leave audiences of all ages smiling. ‘Mere Husband Ki Biwi’ is a film that brings friends and families together, makes them laugh, and gives them something to talk about.”
He further added,
“It’s lighthearted, relatable, and full of moments that will stay with you long after you leave the theatre. I was eager to cast it exactly this way, and when the audience meets their characters, they will know just why!”
Presented by Vashu Bhagnani & Pooja Films, and produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, and Deepshikha Deshmukh, ‘Mere Husband Ki Biwi’ is set to hit theatres on February 21, 2024.
