Govinda Affair Rumours Stir Family Reaction
Nephew Vinay Anand addresses speculation amid Sunita Ahuja’s remarks
February 18, 2026: Actor Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja have been in the spotlight over rumours of trouble in their marriage, including claims linking the star to a newcomer. Now, Govinda’s nephew Vinay Anand has spoken out, revealing that he directly asked his uncle about the alleged affair. In an interview with Hindi Rush, Vinay said Govinda firmly denied the rumours, adding that he accepted his uncle’s word. However, he admitted feeling “a bit weird” after watching Sunita’s recent interviews, as he has always seen her respect Govinda.
Vinay also noted that given Govinda’s long-standing stardom, his name has previously been linked with actresses such as Neelam Kothari, Rani Mukerji and Karisma Kapoor. He later clarified that there is nothing to the current speculation and emphasised that Govinda is focused on work and fitness. Meanwhile, Sunita, during a recent media interaction, said she would forgive her husband if he “changes” and lives life the way she expects, calling him her childhood love.
Responding to Sunita’s public remarks, Govinda told ANI that he felt “saved” because the newcomer, Komal, whose name surfaced in the rumours, has remained silent. He thanked her for not seeking attention or reacting publicly. Govinda and Sunita, who married in 1987, are parents to Yashvardhan Ahuja and Tina Ahuja. The controversy continues to generate buzz amid ongoing speculation about their relationship.
