Amid widespread speculation about Govinda and Sunita Ahuja’s separation, their lawyer and family friend, Lalit Bindal, has confirmed that the couple had filed for divorce six months ago but have since reconciled.

In an interview with ETimes, Bindal emphasized that the couple has moved past their issues, stating, “Such things keep happening in marriages.” He also revealed that Govinda and Sunita even traveled to Nepal during New Year’s and performed a puja at Pashupati Nath Mandir, indicating their continued bond.

Govinda Dismisses Divorce Rumours

When asked about the reports, Govinda denied the claims, saying, “These are only business talks going… I am in the process of starting my films.” This statement aligns with previous reports where the actor dismissed speculation about their marriage troubles.

Social Media Misinterpreted Sunita Ahuja’s Comments

Bindal also criticized social media for taking Sunita’s statements out of context. He clarified:

• When Sunita said, “Mujhe Govinda jaisa pati nahi chaiye” (I don’t want Govinda as my husband in the next birth), she had also added that she wanted a son like him.
• Her remark about Govinda being with his “own valentine” was a reference to his work, not another relationship.

‘No Divorce Is Going to Happen’

Despite earlier legal proceedings, Bindal reassured that Govinda and Sunita remain together, stating firmly that “no divorce is going to happen.”

While Bollywood couples often face speculation, this confirmation from a close associate puts an end to separation rumors, highlighting that ups and downs are natural in long-term marriages.
