In a candid revelation on the popular chat show ‘Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle’, actor Govinda finally addressed the persistent rumours about troubles in his decades-long marriage to Ssunita Ahuja. Govinda, who appeared alongside his long-time co-star Chunky Panday, firmly dismissed the circulating divorce speculations that have plagued the couple’s personal life this year.
Star couples often face intense media scrutiny regarding their private lives, with some choosing to immediately quell the reports while others maintain a dignified silence. Govinda and Ssunita have been constant subjects of tabloid headlines, with divorce rumours first surfacing earlier this year. During a segment on the talk show, Govinda chose to speak openly about his relationship status, providing a clear assurance to his fans. He emphatically stated, “Koi hume alag nahi kar sakta,” which translates to “No one can separate us.”
On Ssunita’s Controversial Statements
The conversation then shifted to his wife’s public statements and the claims she has made in various interviews, particularly in the context of the recent infidelity rumours. Govinda offered a protective and somewhat philosophical explanation for Ssunita’s behaviour.
The actor explained: “Ssunita is like a kid… It is just that she says things that she shouldn’t.” While acknowledging her temperament, he was quick to praise her fundamental values, adding, “The responsibilities that she was given, she could manage our household only because she is what she is. She is an honest child. Her words are never wrong.”
When host Twinkle Khanna or Kajol, asked Govinda if Ssunita ever steps in to correct his own mistakes, the Hero No. 1 responded with playful deflection, saying: “She has herself made so many mistakes… I have forgiven her and the entire family so many times.”
