Govinda Opens Up on Bollywood Conspiracies Against Him: “Attempts Were Made on My Life”

The actor claims he was targeted by industry insiders and faced life threats after conspiracies to remove him from Bollywood.

Veteran Bollywood actor Govinda, who has been away from the silver screen for several years, has made shocking allegations about facing deliberate industry sabotage and even life threats. In a conversation with Mukesh Khanna on his YouTube channel Bheeshm International, Govinda revealed that a pre-planned campaign was executed to defame and remove him from Bollywood.

Bollywood “Plotted” Against Him

Govinda spoke about how he faced immense challenges in the industry despite his success. He said:

“I went through a defamation phase, and it was pre-planned. They wanted to remove me from the industry. I was an outsider, uneducated, and had entered their space. So they started playing games with me.”

The actor further claimed that these conspiracies escalated to life-threatening incidents, stating:

“When the conspiracies against me started, so did attempts on my life. People were caught outside my house with guns, and different methods were being devised to eliminate me. After that, my nature changed completely.”

Refused ₹100 Crore Worth of Films

The actor also admitted to rejecting films worth ₹100 crore during a tough phase in his career. Despite the financial setback, he insisted that he had to stay true to himself and not take up projects he didn’t believe in.

“I would look in the mirror and slap myself for refusing that money. But I followed my heart because honesty to oneself is most important.”

Govinda’s Struggles in Bollywood & Political Entry

Govinda also spoke about how these setbacks influenced his decision to enter politics. He hinted that powerful forces in the industry wanted him gone, making survival difficult. However, despite his political and cinematic struggles, he remains hopeful about his comeback with three new projects in the pipeline.

Govinda’s Last Film & Personal Life

Govinda was last seen in Rangeela Raja (2019), which failed at the box office. Recently, he was in the news due to rumours of his divorce from Sunita Ahuja. However, their lawyer confirmed that though Sunita filed for divorce six months ago, the couple has since reconciled.
