Govinda’s family members, including Kashmera Shah and Arti Singh, refute divorce rumours, calling them false and baseless

February 26, 2025: Rumours have been swirling about Govinda and Sunita Ahuja’s alleged divorce after 37 years of marriage. However, the actor’s close family members have strongly denied the claims, calling them completely untrue.

Kashmera Shah Denies Divorce Reports

When contacted by Zoom, Kashmera Shah, who is married to Govinda’s nephew Krushna Abhishek, dismissed the reports outright. She stated, “Personally, I think it’s a baseless rumor.”

Similarly, Arti Singh, Govinda’s niece, also shut down the speculation. Speaking to News18, she said,
“I haven’t been in touch with anyone since I’m not in Mumbai, but let me tell you, this is false news. These are just speculations because their bond is so strong. They have built a loving relationship over the years, so how can they get divorced? People just make up such rumours.”

Krushna Abhishek Also Backs His Uncle

Comedian and actor Krushna Abhishek, Govinda’s nephew, also refuted the rumours in a conversation with HT City. He said, “This is not possible. They won’t divorce.”

What Sparked the Divorce Rumors?

Speculation about Govinda and Sunita’s relationship troubles began after Sunita made several controversial statements about their bond in recent interviews. On Valentine’s Day, when she was spotted with her son Yashvardhan, paparazzi asked about Govinda’s whereabouts. She jokingly replied,
“Sir apne Valentine ke sath hai. Gadbad mat samajhna. Woh apne kaam se bohot pyaar karte hain, toh kaam unka Valentine hai.”
(“He is with his Valentine. Don’t misunderstand. He loves his work a lot, so work is his Valentine.”)

No Official Response From Govinda or Sunita

So far, neither Govinda nor Sunita has issued an official statement regarding the divorce rumors. Their children, Tina and Yashvardhan, have also remained silent on the matter.
