Emraan Hashmi’s action-packed drama Ground Zero picked up momentum over the weekend, but still trails behind competitors like Kesari 2 and Jaat.

Emraan Hashmi’s latest Bollywood release Ground Zero gathered momentum over its opening weekend, showing an 11% growth in collections on Sunday.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Ground Zero earned ₹2.1 crore net in India on its third day, April 27. The film, which released on April 25, saw a 10.53% jump in earnings from its Saturday collection of ₹1.9 crore, taking its weekend total to ₹5.15 crore net.

Despite the positive trend, Ground Zero is trailing behind Akshay Kumar’s Kesari 2, which minted ₹8.15 crore on its second Sunday, and Sunny Deol’s Jaat, which earned ₹1.96 crore on its third Sunday.
The Emraan Hashmi-starrer had a Hindi occupancy of around 17.25% on Sunday, according to Sacnilk’s data.

About the Film:
Ground Zero is inspired by real-life events and follows the story of BSF officer Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey’s mission to capture Ghazi Baba, the mastermind behind the 2001 Parliament attack and 2002 Akshardham temple attack.
Directed by Tejas Deoskar and produced by Excel Entertainment, Dreamzkrraft Entertainment, and Talisman Films, the film was shot extensively in Jammu and Kashmir. The movie also stars Sai Tamhankar, Zoya Hussain, Mukesh Tiwari, Lalit Prabhakar, and Rahul Vohra.
Reportedly made on a budget of ₹50 crore, Ground Zero continues its box office journey but faces stiff competition in a crowded market.’
