Hairstylist Jawed Habib, Son Booked For Crypto Scam, Over 150 Investors Duped

Police have registered a case against the celebrity hairstylist and his son, following complaints from over 150 individuals who claim they were cheated with promises of huge returns on crypto investments. The FIR alleges the duo lured investors through a company called Follicle Global Company (FLC) before the funds vanished.

September 24, 2025: Police in Uttar Pradesh have charged famous hairstylist Jawed Habib, his son Anas Habib, and three other persons with fraud for allegedly tricking more than 150 people into investing in a cryptocurrency scheme. After many people complained at the Raisatti Police Station in Sambhal, the case was filed.

According to a police statement and news reports, the people who were arrested are said to have lured investors with promises of “unrealistically, exponentially high returns” of 50% to 75% on their investments. The father and son, along with their friends, are said to have put together a promotional event in 2023 at the Royal Palace Banquet Hall in Sambhal for a company called Follicle Global Company (FLC).

People were convinced to send money to the company’s accounts so that they could invest in cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Binance Coin. According to the police, some of the money was allegedly sent to an account owned by Saiful, who said he was the company’s director.

The company allegedly shut down when investors tried to get their promised returns, and the accused, including Jawed Habib and his son, fled.

KK Bishnoi, the Sambhal Superintendent of Police (SP), said that a group of persons had gone to the police to protest that they had been cheated out of lakhs of rupees. He said that Jawed Habib, his son Anas Habib, Saiful, and others are being sued. Because the matter is so well-known, SP Bishnoi has told Additional SP Alok Bhati to be in charge of the probe.

The police have filed the case under serious fraud charges, and the inquiry is still going on. As per the most recent reports, no one has been arrested.
