
Halle Berry, 58, Shares Her No-Cardio Fitness Routine and Diet Secrets for Staying Toned Through Menopause
March 31, 2025: At 58, Halle Berry continues to defy age — and she credits her holistic, evolving approach to fitness and diet for her toned arms, flat belly, and glowing energy.
Speaking on The Tamsen Show podcast (March 12 episode), the Oscar-winning actress opened up about how menopause shifted her health priorities — and how she’s embraced change to stay strong and energized.
“I’m on like probably 16 vitamins now,” Berry shared. “I have a whole list of stuff I will not miss. I’m religious about it. I’ve studied everything I take, and I believe in every single one of them.”

Her workout routine has also gone through a transformation. Once a fan of cardio, she’s now ditched it entirely in favor of heavy weight training.

“I do no cardio right now,” she said. “I’m trying to put muscle mass on. I lift heavier weights than I ever have, and I do it probably two days more a week than I used to. It’s boring — but necessary at this stage.”
Halle emphasized that despite lifting heavier, she hasn’t bulked up — but rather, she’s maintaining her existing lean muscle, which becomes more critical with age.
The shift has also extended to her diet. Once an advocate of the keto diet — especially to manage her diabetes — Berry now incorporates moderate carbs to fuel her body.
“I need a little bit of carbs now for energy,” she explained. “My energy levels are different. I manage my sugar by cutting other things out. It’s all about understanding what my body needs at this stage.”
