Haq: Emraan Hashmi And Yami Gautam Starrer Song Dil Tod Gaya Tu Poster Unveiled

The powerful courtroom drama Haq, starring Yami Gautam and Emraan Hashmi, heightens the emotional stakes with the poster release of its new song, ‘Dil Tod Gaya Tu,’ hinting at the personal cost.

October 29, 2025: The anticipation for the upcoming legal drama, Haq, intensified today as Junglee Pictures released the first poster for the film’s new song, ‘Dil Tod Gaya Tu’ (You Broke My Heart). The poster, shared on Instagram, hints at the film’s devastating emotional core, immediately setting the internet abuzz.

The caption from Junglee Pictures teased the heartbreak, writing: “When love fades… music stays #DilTodGayaTu Song out today! #Haq releasing in cinemas on 7th November 2025.” The announcement comes shortly after the film’s trailer, which received immense appreciation for its gripping storyline, was unveiled.

A Battle of Love and Justice in Court

Haq is being hailed as a powerful courtroom drama that transcends legal boundaries to explore fundamental questions of belief, equality, and women’s autonomy.

  • The Plot: The film centers on Shazia (played by Yami Gautam), a woman whose pursuit of justice after being abandoned defies both the legal system and societal conventions, sparking a nationwide conversation on faith and rights.
  • The Adversary: Emraan Hashmi portrays her husband and, unexpectedly, her adversary in court—a lawyer whose ideological clash with Shazia becomes the emotional centerpiece of the film. Their courtroom confrontation is a deeply personal battle between conviction, love, and identity.
  • The Inspiration: The film is a fictionalized and dramatized account based on the events detailed in journalist Jigna Vora’s book, “Bano: Bharat Ki Beti,” which is inspired by the landmark Shah Bano case.

Yami Gautam: “One Voice To Make A Difference”

Speaking on what drew her to the challenging project, Yami Gautam stated: “This story moved me deeply. It’s not just Shazia’s fight—it’s a reflection of the strength and resilience of countless women who’ve been told to stay silent. This film is more than a role for me. It’s a reminder that it takes just one voice to make a difference.”

The film, directed by Suparn S Varma, also stars Sheeba Chaddha, Danish Hussain, Aseem Hattangady, and debutante Vartika Singh in significant roles. Produced by Junglee Pictures in association with Insomnia Films and Baweja Studios, Haq is slated to release in theatres on November 7, 2025.
