The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s latest release, Captain America: Brave New World, may not be performing at the billion-dollar level the franchise is accustomed to, but it has still managed to achieve a significant feat. The film’s box office success is set to push Harrison Ford past Johnny Depp in all-time career earnings, marking a new milestone in Ford’s legendary Hollywood career.
With Brave New World adding to his already massive box office total, Harrison Ford has officially overtaken Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson on the list of highest-earning leading actors. Now, he is just $11 million shy of surpassing Johnny Depp, placing him among the top 45 highest-grossing actors in history.
Considering Brave New World pulled in $12 million domestically last Saturday alone, Ford is expected to eclipse Depp’s earnings by the end of this weekend. His next target? Simon Pegg, who sits $50 million ahead.
Despite its strong opening weekend of $87 million, Captain America: Brave New World has suffered a 68% drop in ticket sales in its second weekend—one of the biggest second-week drops in MCU history, only ahead of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (69%) and The Marvels (78%).

Globally, Brave New World has earned $293 million, with $145 million domestically and $147 million overseas. While these numbers make it the highest-grossing film of 2025 so far, they fall short of Marvel’s usual billion-dollar expectations.
