June 6, 2025: Tom Felton, best known for playing Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter film series, is set to reprise his iconic role—but this time, on Broadway. The 37-year-old actor will make his Broadway debut in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, becoming the first film cast member to star in the stage adaptation.

Felton will step into Draco’s adult shoes starting November 11, 2025, through March 22, 2026, at the Lyric Theatre in New York. The play, set 19 years after the events of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, explores the next generation of wizards.

Speaking to Today.com, Felton shared that he “immediately cried” when he put on Draco’s signature platinum blond wig for the first time in years. “It was just sort of like a blast from the past,” he said, adding that returning to the character now as an adult is both “surreal” and an “exciting challenge.”

“Now we’re no longer children. We actually are the parents,” Felton said. “It’s very much treading into new, unfamiliar territory.”

The play’s producers, Sonia Friedman and Colin Callender, praised Felton’s return as a “cultural moment charged with nostalgia, evolution, and emotion.” They noted his involvement bridges generations of Harry Potter fans and breathes “new life into a beloved story.”

As anticipation builds for this magical return, fans can expect to see a more mature, complex Draco Malfoy brought to life by the actor who helped define him on screen.
