As Justin Baldoni fights back against Blake Lively’s lawsuit, disgraced producer Harvey Weinstein weighs in — and no one asked him to.
April 10, 2025: Harvey Weinstein Bizarrely Backs Justin Baldoni in Legal Battle With Blake Lively: “This Is Just Like What Happened to Me!”
In one of the most unexpected — and unwelcome — turns in the ongoing legal drama between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively, convicted sex offender Harvey Weinstein has jumped into the fray from behind bars.

In a statement released to TMZ, Weinstein likened Baldoni’s lawsuit against The New York Times and Blake Lively to his own downfall, claiming the media twisted facts in both cases.
“Watching Justin Baldoni take legal action… hit me hard,” Weinstein wrote. “It brought back everything I experienced when The Times reported on me in 2017. They cherry-picked what fit their story.”
Weinstein’s unsolicited endorsement immediately raised eyebrows — and likely caused major discomfort for Baldoni’s team. After all, Weinstein is serving a lengthy prison sentence for rape and sexual assault and remains one of Hollywood’s most disgraced figures.

The Baldoni-Lively Showdown
The legal war erupted in December 2024 when Blake Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment. Baldoni fired back with a staggering $400 million countersuit, alleging defamation and malicious intent.
Since then, the case has spiraled into a high-profile battle involving The New York Times, Lively’s husband Ryan Reynolds, and Baldoni’s PR reps. Neither party is expected to appear in court until 2026, but the fight continues to dominate headlines.

Weinstein’s Two Cents? No Thanks
Weinstein’s comparison between Baldoni’s defamation suit and his own string of rape convictions was met with widespread backlash.
While Baldoni may welcome legal backing from some quarters, Weinstein’s support only muddies already controversial waters. As one industry insider quipped, “Getting Weinstein on your side is like trying to put out a fire with gasoline.”
In short: this battle was messy enough — and Weinstein’s commentary is a reminder that not all support is helpful. Or wanted.
