Hema Malini Mesmerizes Audience With Odissi And Kathak Dance At Vrindavan Mahotsav

March 15, 2025: Actor and BJP MP Hema Malini left the audience spellbound with her stunning Odissi and Kathak dance performances at the Vrindavan Mahotsav, an annual event organized by the legendary flutist Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia. The event, held in Bhubaneswar on Friday, was part of the Holi celebrations, with Hema Malini’s dance acts adding a magical touch to the festivities.

Dressed in a gorgeous yellow costume, the veteran actress, known for her iconic role in Sholay, captivated the audience with her graceful expressions and elegant movements. Her performances were a beautiful blend of classical expressions and devotion, reflecting her deep connection with the art forms.

Sambit Patra, the BJP National Spokesperson and MP from Puri, also graced the occasion and presented Hema Malini with a silver filigree artwork of Lord Jagannath as a mark of respect. The exchange was a touching tribute to the actress’s long-standing relationship with Odisha, a state she holds dear.

Speaking to ANI ahead of the performance, Hema Malini shared her excitement about performing at the annual Holi function organized by Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia’s Gurukul. She explained, “I am here on the occasion of Holi. I have a show here tomorrow at the annual function of Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia Gurukul. It is celebrated on Holi every year. They have invited me this year, so I have come to perform here.”

She also reflected on her deep connection with Odisha, saying, “I always feel good whenever I come to Odisha… There is a lot of greenery here. It is a very calm and peaceful place.” She further mentioned her plans to visit Jagannath Puri to seek the blessings of Lord Jagannath before heading back to Mumbai.
