Hema Malini Share memories on her mother's Birth Anniversary
On Wednesday, the anniversary of her birth, Hema Malini, a politician and a Bollywood actress, wrote a heartfelt letter to her mother Jaya Chakravarthy. She played a video for her mother featuring the pictures she had uploaded to Instagram. With a caption for the picture, the “Seeta aur Geeta” actor exclaimed, “Today is so special for me!” Since my dear mother passed away, I have commemorated her janam din-a day annually. I give her a lot of credit for everything that I am today, and I think back on her contributions to my life and career on this day. I’m grateful, Amma. My everlasting affection.”
A montage of Jaya’s monochromatic photos opens the video. There were also old photos of Hema with her mother in the clip. Hema and her mother had a very strong relationship. The actor thanked her mother in the post, saying that she owes her everything. Actor Esha Deol, who is Hema’s daughter, responded to her post by emoji-dropping a heart and folding hands. The seasoned performer, also referred to as Dream Girl, has scored multiple hits in Bollywood.
The actress debuted in the film industry in 1963 with the Tamil film Idhu Sathiyam and in Hindi cinema with Sapno Ka Saudagar in 1968. Her most recent appearance was in the 2020 film Shimla Mirchi, starring Rakul Preet Singh and Rajkummar Rao. Hema is a politician as well. On a BJP ticket, she was elected to the Mathura Lok Sabha twice in a row, in 2014 and 2019. She was a Rajya Sabha member prior to that.
