The film, which sees Tom Cruise return as Ethan Hunt, is already breaking box office records and building strong momentum ahead of its May 23 release in the U.S. and other major markets.

In South Korea, the film drew over 750,000 viewers, making it the biggest opening for any film in the country this year. It has already grossed $5 million in its first two days, according to Korea JoongAng Daily.
In Japan, Collider reports that it brought in $2 million during the same period.
In India, as per Sacnilk, the action blockbuster earned a strong ₹33 crore (around $4 million), bolstered by its multilingual release in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
The Australia-New Zealand region contributed just under $1 million to the tally.
With $12 million already in the bank, Mission Impossible 8 is expected to cross $20 million globally before even hitting U.S. theatres on May 23. Projections for North America suggest a stunning $100+ million opening, with even more robust figures anticipated from overseas markets — including the crucial China release, confirmed for May 30.
