“He’s The Most Shaant Person I Know..”: Anushka Sharma On Virat Kohli’s Aggression

April 2025: In an intimate conversation, actress Anushka Sharma opened up about her deeply personal journey with husband Virat Kohli, their relationship dynamics, and her much-awaited comeback to the big screen.

Known for her authenticity, Anushka didn’t shy away from addressing public perceptions and private truths. Talking about Virat Kohli’s often misunderstood persona, she said, “He’s one of the calmest persons I’ve met. Off the field, he’s so relaxed… He’s the most shaant person I know. I look at him and I’m like, ‘Wow! You’re so chill.’”

The couple, who have been balancing two of India’s most demanding careers — cricket and cinema — rarely find time together. Anushka recalled, “During the first six months of our marriage, we spent 21 or 22 days together… We were hardly together in Mumbai. In fact, the staff at home gets so happy whenever they see us together at home.”

Despite the chaos of their schedules, the couple prioritizes respect over resentment. “I’m never going to be like, ‘Oh please spend more time with me at the cost of your work’. No, please do your work. He’s the same with me,” she said, reflecting on a partnership built on mutual understanding and freedom.

Now, as she prepares to return to acting, Anushka has an exciting lineup of films in the pipeline. She will reportedly star in sequels to two blockbusters — PK 2, potentially alongside Aamir Khan and Ranbir Kapoor, and Sultan 2 with Salman Khan. Her biopic Chakda ‘Xpress, based on Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami, was initially scheduled for release on Netflix but is currently on hold due to budget issues and creative differences. The producers are now exploring alternate release options.

Looking back at her relationship, Anushka said with heartfelt simplicity, “I’m married to my best friend. I’m married to my confidant. I’m married to someone I love so dearly just because of the human being that he is.” She added, “When we’re together, the world ceases to exist.”

As she readies for her silver screen return, Anushka continues to lead by example — showing how grace, ambition, and love can coexist even under the brightest spotlight.
