
Hina Khan Opens Up About Her Battle With Stage 3 Breast Cancer on World Cancer Day
Mumbai, February 4: Actress Hina Khan, who has been bravely sharing her breast cancer journey since her diagnosis, opened up about her battle with stage three cancer on the occasion of World Cancer Day. In a heartfelt conversation, she highlighted the critical importance of early detection and treatment while also acknowledging government health schemes like Ayushman Bharat that have made cancer care more accessible to many.
In an interview, Hina Khan shared how swift medical action played a vital role in her journey.
“When I was diagnosed with cancer, my treatment started within 2-3 days. I know how important it is not to lose time. I want to thank the government’s initiatives like Ayushman Bharat. I have seen it in Tata Memorial Hospital and many other hospitals. People now have the chance for timely treatment, which is very important,” she said.
Hina first revealed her diagnosis in June last year, taking to Instagram to share the news with her fans, whom she lovingly calls “Hinaholics.”
In her emotional post, she wrote:
“Hello everyone, To address the recent rumor, I want to share some important news with all the Hinaholics and everyone who loves and cares for me. I have been diagnosed with stage three breast cancer. Despite this challenging diagnosis, I wish to reassure everyone that I am doing well. I am strong, determined, and fully committed to overcoming this disease. My treatment has already begun, and I am ready to do everything necessary to emerge from this even stronger.”
She also requested privacy during this difficult time and urged fans to send their prayers and blessings.
“I, along with my family and loved ones, remain focused, determined, and positive. With the grace of the Almighty, we believe I will overcome this challenge and will be completely healthy. Please send your prayers, blessings, and love,” she added.
Hina Khan rose to fame with her role as Akshara in the popular TV series ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ and later impressed audiences with her negative portrayal of Komolika in ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay.’ She has also made her mark in films and web series, earning a loyal fan base for her versatility and resilience.
As she continues her fight against cancer, Hina Khan remains an inspiration for many, proving that with early detection, timely treatment, and determination, challenges can be overcome.
