‘Hisaab Barabar’ : R Madhavan’s Film To Be Premiered At IFFI 2024

November 14, 2024: The 55th edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa is set to host the world premiere of Hisaab Barabar, a gripping thriller starring R. Madhavan. Directed by Ashwni Dhir, the film will be screened on November 26, and it’s already generating a lot of buzz for its intriguing premise and powerful performances.

In Hisaab Barabar, Madhavan plays Radhe Mohan Sharma, a meticulous railway ticket checker whose life takes a dramatic turn after he notices a small discrepancy in his bank account. What starts as a minor issue soon unravels into a larger investigation, leading Radhe to discover a massive financial fraud orchestrated by a powerful banker, Micky Mehta, played by Neil Nitin Mukesh.

As the story unfolds, Radhe finds himself not only fighting against systemic corruption but also grappling with the complexities of his own personal life, learning that relationships cannot be fixed like balance sheets. The film promises to be a thrilling ride that blends mystery, drama, and social commentary, as it explores themes of justice, integrity, and the often blurred lines between right and wrong.

The film also features Kirti Kulhari in a significant role, adding further depth to the ensemble cast. Director Ashwni Dhir shared his excitement about the film’s premiere at IFFI, describing Hisaab Barabar as “more than a thriller.” He emphasized that the film serves as a statement on the uphill battle for truth in a world clouded by deception, with Radhe’s journey offering a reflection on the struggles of a common man trying to make sense of a system where justice often feels elusive.

The film is produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Sharad Patel, and Shreyanshi Patel, with Jio Studios and SP Cinecorp backing the project. Given the strong premise and the involvement of notable talents like Madhavan, Mukesh, and Kulhari, Hisaab Barabar is expected to be one of the highlights of IFFI, offering not just entertainment but also thought-provoking commentary on corruption and the fight for truth in contemporary society. The premiere in Goa will surely be a memorable event for film enthusiasts.
