Hollywood Reacts to Sean “Diddy” Combs Verdict: Stars Voice Outrage and Support for Cassie Ventura After Guilty Prostitution Ruling

Diddy’s acquittal on sex trafficking and racketeering charges sparks wave of emotional responses from Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Aubrey O’Day, Kesha, and Rosie O’Donnell

Following the explosive verdict in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal trial, which found the music mogul guilty of transportation for prostitution but not guilty of sex trafficking and racketeering, Hollywood celebrities have taken to social media to express both shock and solidarity — particularly with Cassie Ventura, Combs’ former girlfriend and star witness in the case. The entertainment industry is grappling with the outcome of a trial that exposed disturbing allegations but resulted in a split decision.

Cassie’s Testimony and Verdict Fallout

Over six weeks, federal prosecutors brought forward multiple witnesses to establish a case that Combs used his business empire as a cover for trafficking and abuse. The key witness, singer and ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, testified in painful detail about years of alleged abuse — including being coerced into sex acts, facing physical violence, and being psychologically controlled by Combs.

Though the jury did not convict Combs on the more serious racketeering and sex trafficking charges, his conviction on two counts of transportation for prostitution remains significant. Each charge carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson Reacts with Sarcasm

Longtime rival 50 Cent was among the first to react on Instagram, posting:

“Diddy beat the Rico, that boy a bad man!”
He added: “He like the Gay John Gotti,” referencing the notorious mob boss, mixing sarcasm with his usual confrontational tone.

Aubrey O’Day Expresses Outrage and Heartbreak

Aubrey O’Day, who rose to fame under Combs’ mentorship on Making the Band 3 and later accused him of exploitation, had a visceral response. In an Instagram Story, she said:

“Oh my God, not guilty on Cassie, not guilty on Rico, no way that Jane is gonna be guilty. This makes me physically ill… I’m gonna vomit.”

In a follow-up post, O’Day added:

“The cultural weight of this decision is immeasurable. It is heartbreaking to witness how many lives have been impacted by their experiences with Sean Combs — only for those stories to fall short in the eyes of a jury.”

She continued her statement with support for Cassie:

“My heart is with Cassie. A woman who could’ve had a life and career free of fear and control… Women, Nor men, Nor ANY ARTIST — are the property of those with the most wealth, fame & power. We are not disposable.”

Speaking on Inside Edition shortly after the verdict, O’Day called the decision “a gut punch,” saying:

“The evidence is there. For me, it’s all the way there.”

Kesha Offers Support and Recalls Lyric Change

Grammy-nominated singer Kesha, who has her own history of fighting abuse allegations in the music industry, also stood with Cassie. On X (formerly Twitter), she wrote:

“Cassie, I believe you. I love you. Your strength is a beacon for every survivor.”

Last year, Kesha changed the lyric in her hit song TiK ToK from “feeling like P. Diddy” to “f* P. Diddy”** following mounting allegations against the mogul.

Rosie O’Donnell: “What a F*ing Joke”**

Actress and comedian Rosie O’Donnell shared her blunt take on Instagram:

“i guess a jury just never wants to believe that a woman stays because of power and coercion — wow — they just think women stay because what? money — fame — ‘they love the abuse’ — what a f***ing joke — this decision got me angry #cassie.”

Public and Industry Reaction Still Unfolding

As Combs awaits sentencing for his guilty verdicts, the entertainment world continues to process the trial’s cultural impact. While Combs’ acquittal on key charges sparked anger and disbelief, many see Cassie Ventura’s testimony as a pivotal moment in the ongoing fight against abuse in powerful institutions.
