While Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s War 2 held the #1 spot in anticipation for weeks, Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 5 has now snatched the lead, generating a new wave of excitement.

Within 24 hours of the Housefull 5 trailer launch, the comedy thriller witnessed a surge of 7.3K new interests on BookMyShow, reflecting the buzz generated by the film’s lighthearted tone and star-studded ensemble.

War 2, whose teaser dropped two weeks ago, had enjoyed an early lead and consistently outperformed other big releases like Sitaare Zameen Par, De De Pyaar De 2, and Alpha. But with Housefull 5’s release just around the corner on June 6, the Akshay Kumar-starrer’s daily promotional push is giving it a decisive edge – for now.
Still, the gap between the two films is slim, just 1.6K interests, making it a neck-and-neck race that could flip at any moment as War 2 gears up for its August 14 release.
The High Stakes of Housefull 5
Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, Housefull 5 boasts one of the biggest ensemble casts in recent memory, including Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Nana Patekar, and more.
