Housefull 5 Box Office Day 1: Akshay Kumar’s Comic Saga Opens With ₹25 Crore, Beats Raid 2 To Claim 3rd-Biggest 2025 Debut

Akshay Kumar’s highly anticipated comedy Housefull 5 has opened with a bang at the Indian box office. As per early trends, the film has collected an estimated ₹23 to ₹25 crore on its opening day, making it the third-highest Bollywood opener of 2025.
Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the film features a star-studded cast including Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, and others, returning with the franchise’s signature blend of slapstick humour and over-the-top thrills.
Despite mixed word-of-mouth, the film capitalized on low competition, with films like Raid 2 and Kesari Chapter 2 nearing the end of their runs.
The comedy caper has surpassed Raid 2 and is only trailing behind big-ticket releases led by Vicky Kaushal and Salman Khan.
Housefull 5 has now outperformed other Akshay Kumar releases such as Kesari Chapter 2, Raksha Bandhan, and OMG 2, reaffirming his box office clout in multi-starrer entertainers.
With the weekend ahead and minimal box office competition, Housefull 5 is well-positioned to post strong figures in the coming days.
