Housefull 5 Box Office Day 3: Akshay Kumar’s Comedy Inches Towards ₹100 Crore Mark

June 08, 2025: Housefull 5, directed by Tarun Mansukhani, is off to a roaring start at the box office. The comedy whodunnit, starring Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, and Riteish Deshmukh, has maintained strong momentum since its release, earning ₹87 crore in just three days.

According to box office tracking platform Sacnilk, Housefull 5 collected ₹24 crore on its opening day, outperforming both the previous installment and Akshay’s recent releases like Sky Force and Kesari Chapter 2. The film witnessed growth on Day 2 with ₹31 crore, followed by ₹32 crore on its first Sunday. The impressive weekend collection has taken the film’s domestic total to ₹87 crore.

With positive word-of-mouth and consistent footfalls, Housefull 5 is poised to cross the ₹100 crore milestone by Monday, signaling a major success for the franchise’s latest outing.

In a quirky promotional move, Akshay Kumar donned the killer mask from the movie and surprised fans by interviewing them outside a theatre in Bandra. Sharing the moment on Instagram, he wrote, “Bas yun hi I decided to wear the killer mask and interview people coming out of the Housefull 5 show at Bandra today… Pakda jaane wala tha end mein but bhaag gaya us se pehle. Mast experience.”

Housefull 5 features a star-studded ensemble including Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Dino Morea, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Chitrangada Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Soundarya Sharma, Chunky Pandey, Nikitin Dheer, and Johnny Lever. The film has been released with two different climaxes and has received a mixed response from critics, though audiences seem to be enjoying the chaotic fun.
