Housefull 5 Roars Past ₹119 Crore: Akshay Kumar's Comic Franchise Refuses to Slow Down
June 10, 2025: Housefull 5, the latest installment in the popular comedy franchise, continues to perform well at the box office. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani and featuring an ensemble cast led by Akshay Kumar, the film crossed the ₹100 crore mark within just four days of its theatrical release in India. According to the latest update from Sacnilk.com, Housefull 5 has now earned ₹111.25 crore by day five.
The film collected ₹10.75 crore on Tuesday (day five) as per early estimates, marking its lowest single-day collection so far. On Monday, the film saw a significant dip in earnings with ₹13 crore, reflecting a 60% drop from the weekend figures. Still, it remains the fastest film in the Housefull franchise to enter the ₹100 crore club. The film recorded an overall 17.50% Hindi occupancy on Tuesday.
The comedy mystery is set on a luxurious cruise where chaos unfolds after a billionaire announces that his fortune will go to someone named Jolly. When a murder occurs shortly after the announcement, suspicion falls on three men—each named Jolly—played by Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, and Abhishek Bachchan. Their girlfriends, played by Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, and Soundarya Sharma, are also among the suspects.
Adding a unique twist, the film was released with two different endings: Housefull 5A and Housefull 5B. Ahead of the release, Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh appeared in a promotional video encouraging audiences to watch the film twice to experience both endings.
The star-studded cast also includes Fardeen Khan, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Johny Lever, Ranjeet, Chunky Panday, Dino Morea, and Sonam Bajwa, offering fans a nostalgic and laughter-filled cinematic ride.
