Housefull 5 Nears ₹200 Cr Club, Just This Much Away From Becoming Akshay Kumar’s Biggest Post-COVID Hit!

Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 5 continues its box office run with strong momentum, clocking ₹190.19 crore net in India over 19 days. With just ₹4.85 crore separating it from Sooryavanshi (₹195.04 crore), it is poised to become Akshay’s biggest hit in the post-COVID era.

Directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the comedy entertainer has shown consistent footfalls despite competition from Sitaare Zameen Par. On Day 19 (Tuesday), the film earned ₹2.10 crore, bouncing back with a 31% growth after a slight dip on Monday.
Despite being a franchise entry, the film’s fresh comedic approach, an ensemble cast led by Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh, and festive season release timing have helped it maintain strong occupancy in metros and Tier-2 cities.
Currently, Housefull 5 has recovered 84.5% of its ₹225 crore budget, and is projected to cross ₹200 crore net in the coming days, marking a significant success in 2025’s box office landscape.
