‘Housefull 5’ Teaser Removed from YouTube Following Copyright Claim

May 9, 2025: The teaser for Akshay Kumar’s upcoming comedy film Housefull 5 has been unexpectedly removed from YouTube, just weeks before the movie’s release. The multi-starrer, which also features Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Riteish Deshmukh, had been making waves since its release on April 30. It quickly amassed millions of views on the official YouTube channel of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.

However, as of May 9, the teaser is no longer available on YouTube. Instead, visitors to the video’s page are greeted with an error message that reads: “The video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Mofusion Studios.” This claim has left fans and the film’s team puzzled, as the reason behind the strike has not been officially clarified.

Interestingly, while the teaser has been removed from YouTube, it is still accessible on Instagram, where the film’s stars, including Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Riteish Deshmukh, shared the teaser on April 30. The teaser set the stage for Housefull 5 by introducing the massive cast and featuring the upbeat track “Laal Pari” by Yo Yo Honey and Simar Kaur.

Mofusion Studios, the company behind the copyright claim, is an India-based record label known for producing music by popular artists like Diljit Dosanjh and Jasmine Sandlas. At this time, it remains unclear why Mofusion Studios has filed the claim, and attempts to reach the company for comment have so far gone unanswered.

Despite this setback, the film, directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, is still scheduled to release on June 6, and its promotional efforts are likely to continue across other platforms. Fans are eagerly awaiting the film, and the removal of the teaser has only added to the intrigue surrounding its upcoming release.
