A Murder Mystery on a Mega Yacht
The trailer opens with a voiceover by Nana Patekar, who sets the stage for an extravagant celebration: a billionaire’s 100th birthday party on a lavish yacht. With a twist worthy of the franchise’s signature chaos, the billionaire announces he will leave his inheritance to “Jolly.” Enter Akshay, Abhishek, and Riteish — all claiming to be Jolly, sparking utter mayhem.
The trailer then spirals into a frenzy of confusion as something is slipped into the trio’s drinks, causing memory loss and setting the stage for a classic whodunit. When the billionaire ends up murdered, the three become prime suspects, prompting an investigation led by a hilarious cop duo — Sanjay Dutt and Jackie Shroff.
Star-Studded Ensemble Cast
Housefull 5 boasts a star-heavy ensemble featuring Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Dino Morea, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Chitrangada Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Soundarya Sharma, Chunky Pandey, and Johnny Lever.
The trailer teases a mix of slapstick and situational comedy, including a scene where Akshay is hilariously slapped by monkeys and Jackie Shroff delivers tongue-in-cheek references to his son, Tiger Shroff.
Directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Housefull 5 is set to hit theatres on June 6, 2025.
The Housefull franchise kicked off in 2010 and has consistently been a crowd-puller thanks to its outrageous humour, large ensemble casts, and fast-paced plots. With the return of beloved characters and the addition of new faces, Housefull 5 looks all set to deliver another dose of over-the-top comedy.
