How Did Everyone Miss Leonardo DiCaprio Quiet Met Gala Debut With Vittoria Ceretti?
May 8, 2025: Leonardo DiCaprio made his elusive Met Gala debut on Monday night, quietly accompanying girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti at fashion’s biggest event of the year—without setting foot on the red carpet.
The Oscar-winning actor, 50, attended the 2025 Met Gala in New York City to support Ceretti, 26, who dazzled in a Moncler x EE72 pinstriped gown in line with this year’s theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”
DiCaprio, often guarded about his private life, skipped red carpet photos altogether. However, the couple was captured inside the venue in a rare black-and-white Instagram shot shared by Vogue. DiCaprio appeared in a tuxedo, partially shielding his face from the camera, while Ceretti completed her look with gloves, an oversized hood, and Briony Raymond jewelry.
Their appearance marks a subtle but significant step for the couple, who have been dating since 2023. Despite keeping their romance under wraps, Ceretti recently opened up to Vogue France, reflecting on the challenges of dating someone with a higher public profile.
“As soon as you’re in a relationship with someone who has a larger following than you, you become ‘girlfriend of’… it’s not nice to think you can’t love whoever you want,” she shared.
The Italian model, who met DiCaprio in Milan, added, “If you know you love each other, then there’s no reason to be alarmed—because love protects and gives confidence.”
Ceretti walked the Met Gala carpet solo, while DiCaprio opted to stay out of the limelight—a move consistent with the couple’s discretion throughout their relationship.
