How Much Did Hrithik Roshan Charge For War 2?

July 3, 2025: Hrithik Roshan is reportedly charging ₹48 crore for his role in War 2, marking a significant increase from his previous earnings with Yash Raj Films. This fee reflects his growing stature in the industry and the high expectations surrounding the film’s sequel.

In comparison, his remuneration for War 2 surpasses his previous earnings for films with Yash Raj Films. For instance, in Vikram Vedha, he earned ₹50 crore, and in the original War (2019), he was paid ₹48 crore.

War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films, is set to release on August 14, 2025. The film stars Hrithik Roshan, Jr. NTR (making his Hindi debut), and Kiara Advani, and is part of the YRF Spy Universe.

With a reported budget of ₹200–400 crore, War 2 is among the most expensive Indian films to date. The film has been shot across six international locations, including Spain, Italy, Abu Dhabi, Russia, Japan, and India.

Hrithik Roshan’s increased fee underscores his commanding presence in the industry and the high expectations for War 2. As the film approaches its release, anticipation continues to build among audiences eager to see the next chapter in the YRF Spy Universe.
