Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan shared a heartfelt tribute to the legendary Rajinikanth on social media, calling him his “first teacher” and “an inspiration.” The warm gesture comes a day before their highly anticipated films, War 2 and Coolie, clash at the box office.

August 13, 2025: Ahead of the highly anticipated box office clash between their films War 2 and Coolie, Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan extended a heartfelt tribute to Rajinikanth on social media. The gracious gesture, which came a day before both films hit theaters, has been widely praised by fans.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Hrithik congratulated the legendary actor on completing 50 years in Indian cinema. He wrote, “Took my first steps as an actor at your side. You were one of my first teachers, @rajinikanth sir, and continue to be an inspiration and a standard. Congratulations on completing 50 years of on-screen magic!” Hrithik fondly recalled his experience of working with Rajinikanth as a child artist in the 1986 film Bhagwaan Dada.

The warm tribute has resonated with fans, who hailed Hrithik as “the most secure Indian actor” for his magnanimous gesture.

Both films are set to ignite the box office on August 14. War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji, is the sixth installment in the YRF Spy Universe and features Hrithik alongside Jr NTR and Kiara Advani. Meanwhile, Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie stars Rajinikanth in a powerful new look, with Nagarjuna as the villain and a special cameo by Aamir Khan, who reunites with the superstar after nearly three decades.
