Hrithik Roshan Set to Direct And Star In ‘Krrish 4’, Confirms Father Rakesh Roshan

March 28, 2025: Hrithik Roshan is set to take the reins as the director of the highly awaited “Krrish 4,” marking a new milestone in the iconic superhero franchise. Having starred in the first three installments, Hrithik is not only stepping into the director’s chair but will also reprise his role as the titular character.

The exciting news was confirmed by Hrithik’s father, Rakesh Roshan, who took to social media to share his pride and joy over his son’s new role. In a heartfelt note, Rakesh Roshan wrote, “Duggu, 25 years back I launched you as an actor, and today again, after 25 years, you are being launched as a director by two filmmakers, Aditya Chopra & myself, to take forward our most ambitious film #Krrish4. In an interesting twist, Yash Raj Films (YRF) has come on board to produce “Krrish 4” in association with Rakesh Roshan. Speaking about the collaboration, Rakesh Roshan expressed his happiness at Aditya Chopra producing the film. “It brings me so much joy to see someone like Adi as the producer of Krrish 4. It was he who convinced Hrithik to sit in the director’s chair,” Rakesh added in a press note. He went on to praise the unique and creative combination of Hrithik and Aditya Chopra as producer-director, emphasizing the potential of turning “Krrish 4” into an unparalleled theatrical experience for audiences.

The project is expected to begin filming in early 2026, with more details about the storyline, cast, and production to be revealed soon. The Krrish franchise, which debuted in 2003 with “Koi… Mil Gaya,” has become a significant part of Indian cinema, starting with the story of Rohit Mehra and his alien friend, and continuing with “Krrish” (2006) and “Krrish 3” (2013). In the third film, Hrithik was seen playing a triple role, and the movie starred Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut, and Vivek Oberoi.
