25 years after his acting debut, Hrithik Roshan steps behind the camera to direct the next chapter of India’s iconic superhero franchise, co-produced by YRF and Rakesh Roshan.

Mumbai, March 28: Hrithik Roshan, who began his journey in Bollywood as an assistant director on his father Rakesh Roshan’s film sets in the ’90s, is coming full circle. The superstar is all set to make his directorial debut with ‘Krrish 4’, the next chapter of India’s beloved superhero franchise.

The exciting update was shared by Rakesh Roshan himself on Instagram Friday morning, alongside a heartwarming throwback photo with Hrithik, affectionately calling him “Duggu.”

“Duggu, 25 years back I launched you as an actor, and today again after 25 years you are being launched as a director by two filmmakers — Aditya Chopra and myself — to take forward our most ambitious film #Krrish4. Wish you all the success in this new avatar with good wishes and blessings,” the veteran filmmaker wrote.

The announcement triggered an outpouring of love from fans and family.
Saba Azad, Hrithik’s girlfriend, reposted the news with red heart emojis.
His sister Sunaina Roshan wrote,

“Krrish has been Papa and Duggu’s dream project. Watching them take this vision forward fills me with immense pride… I couldn’t be prouder.”

🎥 A Power-Packed Collaboration

Yash Raj Films has joined the production as co-producer, with Aditya Chopra playing a key role in encouraging Hrithik to take on the director’s chair.

The Legacy of Krrish The Krrish franchise began with ‘Koi… Mil Gaya’ (2003), introducing audiences to Rohit Mehra and his alien companion Jadoo. It evolved into a full-fledged superhero saga with ‘Krrish’ (2006) and ‘Krrish 3’ (2013), cementing Hrithik’s status as India’s first on-screen superhero.

‘Krrish 4’ is expected to go on floors early next year, with more updates expected soon. As fans await a cinematic spectacle, one thing is clear: Hrithik Roshan is ready to soar again—this time as a filmmaker.
